Back again - blog take 2

well lets give this another go again

big trip number 2 coming up

booked and finalised a 2 and half week trip to Peru with gecko's

same crowd i did the thailand trip with. flying out cork - amsterdam - lima on Oct 30th, home via amsterdam then on Nov 17th

trip itinerary looks pretty good

some time in lima, inca trail, machu pichuo, some amazon jungle trekking and lake titicaca then back to lima..

break from Cork more then needed..

must figure out the jabs and infections situation on Monday, pretty sure i have most of the meds already unused from thailand..

Bangkok - theres something of everything here

the city of the smiles.. day 1 and 2

ok gona make this v v short,got 5 mins left before net ends
flights ok besides snotty Auz woman in seat in front of me
the most amazing searing heat hits you once the leave the airport

got to hotel grand n o problems but once u leave you are surrounded by people offering you things.. they're like flies on shit like

just chilled fist nigt did some shopping bought dig camera for nexzt to nothing, had a few beers and a swim.. hotel was grand but room and place stunk of cig smoke\\

day 2 met up with tour, seem like an ok bunch. rooming with a canadian dude. 7 / 8 girls on the tour.. set off on 10 day trek 2mto at 8am ish

3 days to go

So after trying and trying for ages I have just under 6 weeks off work for myself coming up.. so what to do where to go, how to cram it all into that time..

I've spent a few long days and night bouncing idea and tours and schedules around to get everything in and i think i have something that works now..

Leaving Cork April 16th
Cork - London - Bangkok
9 day tour in Thailand, Temples, the river Kwai, Jungle treks, Night markets, village huts, elephant rides, waterfalls, national parks and the grand palace in bangkok

Bangkok to Singapore
Stay there for a few days, visit main city sites, tour the islands,

Singapore to Sydney
Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House, a trek out of town to a wildlife park,
bondi beach and loads of cool pubs :)

Sydney to Alice Springs
2 day trek from Alice to Ayers rock, sleep under the stars, see the changing colours from sunset to sunrise, so some treking in the bush.


Alice Springs to Christchurch New Zealand
Hang out here for a week with my sister and visit some Hobbitan sites, I am set for meeting some hobbits.. def not going to do any bungi jumps but am seriously looking at a sky dive. Loads of adventure water sports there too.


Christchurch - Fiji
3 days relaxing on the beech. temps are hot, beaches are sandy, and im guessing i will be wrecked from everything before that..

Fiji - New York
Stay with cousins on Long Island.
Got a Swell Season gig the night i arrive into NY ( still trying to find a ticket), got a yankees game, loads of friends to catch up on over beer, some of my fav pubs to visit and a suitcase of new clothes to buy :):) Gota love the weak dollar $$$

End of May then New York - London - Cork

collapsing into bed for a days sleep before back to Apple land..

photos will be taken along the way and im looking at a bloggy thingy or maybe i'll just post things here ..

Anyone know of any cool things to do along the way just let me know.
